*Sessions are 45-50 minutes in length
*The frequency of sessions is dependent upon client needs and is evaluated every session.
*Weekly, biweekly, monthly and occasional "tune-up" sessions are available.
*There is no charge for phone calls under 15 minutes. After 15 minutes clients will be charged per half hour starting at 30 minutes.
Payment is expected at the beginning of each session. I am a participating provider with Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Magellan Behavioral Health and Aetna and will accept co-payment and bill your insurance for reimbursement. Covered benefits are not a guarantee of payment to me and you will be responsible for any services denied by your plan. If you are planning to use any other type of health insurance to pay for services, I will assist you in determining coverage, benefits and eligibility, but you are expected to pay the full fee at the time of your visit and to file your own claims. Most insurance plans do not cover marital therapy or couples counseling, but I would be happy to provide you with an invoice for your own submission efforts.
My fee is $100 per session and I accept cash and checks. I will accept Mastercard, Visa and Discover for an extra 5% administrative fee. I offer a sliding fee for those with no insurance or limited income. I will discuss this on a case-by-case basis with each client in order to reach an agreement about a fee that is mutually agreeable. Clients are asked to give 24 hours advance notice when canceling an appointment. I do charge my full fee to clients who cancel without this notice, except in a true emergency.

Whether your relationship is in serious trouble or just needs a fine-tuning, therapy can help. I have worked with couples who seek counseling as a "last resort," couples who are doing well but want to improve a specific area in their relationship and couples wondering if marriage is the next step-or pre-engagement counseling.
In couples therapy, you will learn:
Some of my specialties in working with individuals are:
I will teach you mindfulness techniques and other skills to help you manage your symptoms while helping you uncover and heal the root issues that are causing your discomfort.
I will help you deal with difficult changes in your life whether it is adjusting to a new role such as becoming a parent, changing jobs or being newly single.
This unsettling feeling of confusion about who we are can happen numerous times in our lives as we grow and experience new sides of ourselves. I will help guide you through this process of learning who you really are, and accepting ALL that you are- so that you can feel comfortable in your own skin and make choices that honor your values
My practice methods are influenced by psychodynamic theories, cognitive-behavioral therapies, family systems, narrative, emotion focused, strengths-based and existential models.
