About Hilary Silver
I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Anthropology from the University of Kansas in 1994. Not quite ready to settle into a career, I spent the next five years continuing my learning and indulging my sense of adventure with travel to parts of Europe, the Middle East and Asia and a position teaching English in Japan.
I moved to Denver in 1999 ready to establish roots and become a permanent resident of the community. After working in the financial and technical recruiting industries, I returned to school for my Masters Degree in Social Work, which I earned from the University of Denver in 2003. I started my private practice in 2004 while also working full time as a school-based therapist and social worker for Denver Mental Health and Adams 12 school district. I completed my licensing requirements in 2005 and have continued post-graduate and advanced training in my special areas of interest, which include marriage and family therapy, EMDR for trauma related issues, depression, anxiety and addictions.
I am a wife to my partner of 10 years and mother to my son and daughter. My interests include travel, gardening, running and spending time with my family.
I consider myself extremely blessed and honored to be a part of such an intimate journey in the lives of my clients. I am humbled by their courage and honesty and am inspired by their will to create positive change.
